Driverless Car Technology ( Softskill 1 B. Inggris 2 )

Driverless Car Technology

Modern technology of the automotive world has taken a step further by creating a car technology without a driver that allows drivers to drive a car without direct contact with the steering wheel. With this advancement will certainly make everyone's life easier. But regardless of the sophistication of the technology, automatic car is also certainly have shortcomings. Drive a car is not as easy as imagined, although using an automated car. Of course it is also necessary human resources to control it. The machine remains the machine, which still requires an operator to control it.

Some automated car prototype cars have indeed been introduced even tested. Once refined, car technology without drivers will greatly help the rider to drive safely. This is especially useful for the elderly as well as those with physical limitations. Seeing the number of accidents that are mostly caused by human error, the system is expected to save millions of lives. Technology can also help the transportation system to be more efficient because it is synchronized with traffic so as to reduce congestion. Although many advantages are gained from automobile systems without drivers or automatic steering, the bottleneck is technical problems and damage to the system itself. Computers are known to be able to react faster and smarter than human brains, but computers are still electronic goods that depend on the right function to work properly. If something goes wrong from its function, then it can undoubtedly lead to disaster for the user. If car technology without a driver really comes true, it will require detailed analysis of the readiness of all its functions so as not to cause a fatal error while driving.

The Internet is our generation technology base, so it makes sense that the company wants to take it to the car, either through a smartphone or via a 4G antenna in the car. In-car Internet has been around for a few years now, but is becoming more common, cheaper, and faster. How it works is similar to how it works on smartphones, with an integrated SIM card in the car or a slot for the SIM card. It can be used for a number of things, many of which basically allow users to not use their phones for things like entertainment and GPS. Instead, users can search for locations or music right from the screen in their car.

Google finally really realize smart car aka smart car by modifying the car Toyota Pyrus, Lexus SUV, etc .. The car without a driver is made by placing some sensors, cameras, and lasers that can spin at the top to detect the surrounding conditions. Smart car is one of the most monumental projects of google after Google Loon.

Cars of its kind may be currently being developed by various electronics companies such as Samsung, Apple and of course the car company. However, only Google is currently performing many real tests and publishing them on YouTube. For a while, Google is doing development for the prototype of the car in the Detroit area.

This car uses electric power that can run up to 100 miles using various combinations of sensors and latest technology software to search for its own surroundings surroundings combined with Google Maps and GPS. All cars are equipped with satellite navigation systems, radar, laser, and camera 360o.

Software embedded in the car can recognize various types of objects ranging from humans, cars, road markings, signs, traffic lights, and can recognize the things that exist in the road, including cyclists and others. Not only that, this car is also able to detect road workers and can safely navigate the car without causing an accident. In the latest prototype, the sensor is pinned on the car without a driver able to see in all directions up to a distance of 180 meters. This new prototype car is of course more complete than some of the cars that have been tested previously like Lexus and Toyota. The car is currently limited to a maximum speed of only 40 km / hour.
The car body has been modified and made as secure as possible on the front, the car bumper uses the foam, then uses a flexible glass to be safe for pedestrians and bicycle users in case of accident.

Impact car without driver

Positive Impact

This driverless car is made as a safe means of transportation for children, the elderly and those who are no longer able to drive their own cars. Google has equipped it with sophisticated sensors that barely have blind spots. Not only that, the series of sensors that the car has to read the object area of twice the football field all over. This ability is very useful for navigating the streets full of intersections. This car will also go with a maximum speed of 40 kilometers per hour. Seeing the number of accidents that are mostly caused by human error, the system is expected to save millions of lives. A driver-free car is also designed to be more efficient in fuel use. The car will accelerate and brake very efficiently and effectively. In addition, the potential for human error is also very small so as to minimize the accident budget each year. In addition, because it runs automatically then the streets will be very structured and congestion can be overcome. In addition, driverless car also can reduce carbon dioxide emission levels from year to year increasing.

Negative impact

Despite the many advantages of self-driving systems or cars without drivers, the bottleneck is technical problems and damage to the system itself. Computers are known to be able to react faster and smarter than human brains, but computers are still electronic goods that depend on the right function to work properly. If something goes wrong from its function, then it can undoubtedly lead to disaster for the user. Thus, if the self-driving technology really becomes a reality, it will require detailed analysis of the readiness of all its functions so as not to cause fatal errors while driving. And some researchers working in this field are investigating potential losses for car technology without riders. They believe that they can make traffic worse because people will eventually get congested because they do not have to drive their own cars. Looks like a cartoon, the car does not have a hood, and wheels are pushed into a corner.

Security

There is still a security puzzle. By 2015, accidents involving disturbed drivers in the United States killed nearly 3,500 people and injured more than 391,000 conventional cars, with drivers actively controlling their vehicles. Unfortunately, experts expect that the number of vehicle accidents will initially not decrease dramatically after the introduction of AVs that offer a significant degree of autonomous control but still require drivers to remain fully engaged in the backup, fail-safe role.
Security experts fear that drivers in semi-autonomous vehicles can pursue activities such as reading or sending messages so that they lack the situational awareness needed when asked to take control. When drivers get back in, they must immediately evaluate their environment, determine where vehicles are located, analyze hazards, and decide on safe action. At 65 miles per hour, the car takes less than four seconds to travel the length of the football field, and the longer a driver still does not drive, the longer the reengagement process can take place. Automotive companies must develop better human-machine interfaces to ensure that new technologies save lives rather than contribute to more accidents.

Theory

The pronoun or pronoun is a word that a noun or noun phrase can use. The pronouns work boring the same noun repetition of nouns or noun phrases mentioned earlier.

1.      Personal Pronoun
Personal pronouns are pronouns that appear in people or naming. This person's pronoun as subject and object
Sample sentence:

·         Three days ago I met Ariel. Yesterday I met him again.
·         My sister bought a new phone. He loved it.
·         Sule borrowed three books from the library. He must return it in two days.

2.      Pronoun Possessiv
The possessive pronoun is the word that appoints the owner. There are two forms of possessive pronouns (depending on the keywords) and independent (depending on the verb)
Example:
·         This is my book. The book is mine.
·         This house belongs to them.
·         It's your pencil and it's hers.

3.      The Nature of Reflexive
The reflexive pronoun is a pronoun pointing activity for a keyword in a sentence, or giving a touch to an object or object. The pronoun gets a self-suffix for a singular form, and a self-suffix for plurals.
Sample sentence:
·         She laughs to herself.
·         He himself drove to school.
·         I myself open the door.
·         My dad cooked this meal himself.

4.      Preface Demonstrative
The demonstrative pronoun is the pronoun of a finger based on proximity: near this and this and far away. Example of the sentence as follows:
·         This is my mother, this is my sister.
·         The book is yours, it's mine.

5.      Interrogative Pronoun
The pronouns are questions that question people or things. These include: who, who (who), who (who has), why (why), which (which), and what (what).
Sample sentence:
·         Who do you contact?
·         What do you order?
·         Why are you selling your way?

6.      Unlimited Conquest
The indeterminate pronoun is a pronoun referring to someone or something unworthy, such as: someone (someone), something, anything, everyone (everyone), and everything (everything).

7.      Relative Keywords
Relative pronouns are words that compose nouns or noun phrases with their explanatory clauses, such as who, who, which, and which are translated into words that are words.
Sample sentence:
·         I do not like angry people.
·         Meow that I always eat every day is my cat.
·         It's Tukul that your brother met last week.

Analysis

·         If car technology without a driver really comes true, it will require detailed analysis of the readiness of all its functions so as not to cause a fatal error while driving. (paragraph 2, line 11) à Personal Pronoun

·         The Internet is our generation technology base, so it makes sense that the company wants to take it to the car. (paragraph 3, line 1)à Personal Pronoun

·         Cars of its kind may be currently being developed by various electronics companies such as Samsung, Apple and of course the car company. However, only Google is currently performing many real tests and publishing them on YouTube. (paragraph 5, line 1) à Personal Pronoun

·         Although many advantages are gained from automobile systems without drivers or automatic steering, the bottleneck is technical problems and damage to the system itself.  (paragraph 2, line 6) à Reflexive Pronoun

Conclusions

The car technology without the driver allows the driver to drive the car without direct contact with the steering wheel. Some automated car prototype cars have indeed been introduced even piloted, such as Google Driverless Car, FROG (Free Ranging On Grid), Dennis Hong's Driverless Car, Free Driverless Car University, BMW's New Driverless Car, Tesla Model S.
Technology without a driver car will greatly help the rider to drive safely. This is especially useful for the elderly as well as those with physical limitations as well as accidents caused by Human Error.
